2024 Invitation and tours

In the letter below, the PEI Planning Committee presents some of the tours that will make our 2024 Gathering great, and provides an official invitation! If you have already preregistered in North America, you should have received your PayPal receipt and an email confirmation. For those who have not preregistered, note that our North America family should go to https://www.treinfhirtotrainorpei.com/, select REGISTER NOW and complete the details. For Ireland and the Rest of the World please email support@treinfhir.org with the people interested and you will be invoiced. Preregistration reserves your spot and lets the organizers know how many are coming. This is pre-registration only, and there will be further communication about booking and paying for events. Please note that the pre-registration will be opened this week to the larger audience on Facebook. Now, a word from our PEI Planning Committee:

Dear Visitor,

Consider this your official invitation from the 2024 PEI Planning Committee to join us on PEI June 20-23, 2024 for the third bi-ennial Treinfhir Family Gathering. We are working hard to create a get-back-together event that will be joy-filled and enlightening……leaving you with wishes to come back for more. The full schedule is being finalized and will be offered soon, but we thought you might like to see a few of the half-day and one full-day coach tours that will be offered.

All tours will include a lunch and several stops for the best appreciation of the area you will be visiting, as well as a bit of musical entertainment here and there. Every tour will take you through rolling Irish-green hills, newly planted, red-soiled fields of potatoes and barley, and breathtaking views of coastal red and white sand beaches. Here are just some of the highlights.

The North Shore Tour will visit Anne of Green Gables and PEI National Park. The South Shore Tour will stop at Victoria-by-the-Sea, a beautiful, quaint village that offers shopping and chocolate. The Up West Tour will stop at the Potato Museum, a working fishing harbor, and the Shipbuilding Museum. Other tours will visit Fort Augustus, Emyvale, Kelly’s Cross and Kinkora cemeteries where our ancestors rest.

We’ve lots of craic built in too at the Olde Triangle Pub in Charlottetown and the Glenaladale Heritage Event Center on Tracadie Bay.

We are looking forward to seeing you on our beautiful Island next summer. And while June-2024 seems a long time coming, it will be here in the blink of an eye. So, don’t wait to register or make your lodging arrangements. Remember, PEI is a popular tourist destination and we won’t be the only folks here that weekend.

Slainte!!!
